PA Wrist

IR size:  10×12 inches

Shielding: Lead shield around waist

Patient Position: Seat patient at end of table with elbow flexed 90 degrees

Part Position: Fully pronate hand so that the palm is on the surface of the cassette, Then curl fingers slightly to bring the wrist close to the IR. Then rotate wrist and hand laterally 45 degrees, a positioning sponge may be used to help support the wrist

Central Ray: Center at the mid-carpal area

SID: 40 inches

Collimation: Collimate on all sides to the outer margins of the wrist. 

Respiration: Patient does not need to hold their respiration for this projection
